Production shifted under Waltham International SA to Switzerland. This specific watch represents that fascinating Swiss-era transition, combining the historic brand name with elite Swiss electronic engineering. Inside is a custom Waltham-branded ETA-ESA 955 series quartz caliber stamped with the prestigious Swiss V8 hallmark. Unlike cheap modern disposable quartz movements, this high-grade caliber features 7 functional ruby jewels and a fully serviceable metal infrastructure built by ETA to endure for generations.
