Item Overview

This listing features a vintage 4-issue short run from 1981 of The Magazine of Fantasy & Science Fiction (F&SF). Published by Mercury Press, Inc., this lot includes the months of January, March, May, and June. This specific selection captures iconic 1980s speculative fiction edited by Edward L. Ferman. It is anchored by the notable January 1981 issue featuring George Alec Effinger's popular story "Breakaway" along with Isaac Asimov's regular monthly science essay column. F&SF digests are highly regarded by collectors for their literary focus, moving away from classic pulp styles into sophisticated genre storytelling.
