A beautiful French wooden pediment which would have originally formed part of a larger piece of furniture.

Painted and showing signs of loss and distress to the surface this lovely piece has a hand carved neo-classical scrolled leaf design and central motif.

A wonderful decorative piece for the home above a doorway, window, at the back of a sideboard or simply as a piece of wall art.

Measures 56.5cm long x 19cm high x 5cm.

Please do note this piece does have considerable age and there are signs of age and wear commensurate to this and its previous life, including a small cosmetic split at the wear. However, overall this remains in excellent condition. We have cleaned, treated and given this a light wax to protect the wood. Please do see all the photos.
