This Granby dates from 1933 and is frame number 1470. ( Its younger brother, a Taperlite, sold on E-bay the other day and has the frame number 1472.) 

This Granby has the forward facing seat lug and all three main frame tubes are tapered and it has the square section chain stays as well.

The frame has been re-enamelled in black and the frame is in very good condition with no rust of issues. No rust in the tubes. The frame numbers are stamped under the front fork crown and on the bottom bracket which is the usual locations for Granby. 

There are the tiniest impressions in one fork blade on the inside. This is shown in one of the photographs.

Granby were one of the top builders in the pantheon of the finest London lightweight makers. Each one was bespoke as was the trend for the lightweight makers of those golden years of riding and racing in the 1930's.

This Granby would have been fitted at a fixed wheel racer with 26'' wheels or with a close ratio Sturmey Archer Hub like a TC or TF KSW or KS.
