Breathtaking vintage studio art glass shallow bowl/underplate, handcrafted by renowned artist Jeff Howell for the prestigious Orient & Flume studio.

This magnificent piece features a classic wide-rim profile with a brilliant iridescent gold luster finish. The wide border showcases a finely crackled, metallic "onion skin" stretch glass texture that radiates outward. At the center well, the iridescence shifts beautifully into deep, luminous tones of magenta, pink, and soft violet when caught by the light.

The design is heavily inspired by antique American art glass masterpieces, perfectly matching the historic color profile and luster of classic Steuben Gold Aurene (one piece available in my collection).

Condition: Excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks, or deep scratches. The iridescence remains incredibly vibrant. The base is fully ground and polished, featuring the hand-etched signature "Orient & Flume" alongside the artist’s signature "Howell" and registry marks. It also retains its original blue and white Orient & Flume factory paper label on the back, adding excellent provenance for serious glass collectors.
