Fender American Vintage 1957 Stratocaster/Black 1990 (no260920)

The "Vintage Series," which debuted in 1982 and became an epoch-making product for Fender, is now part of the "American Vintage Series." Six models with representative specifications from the pre-CBS era were reissued, and although the name has changed, it remains a highly popular series positioned as the flagship model of the vintage line.

This particular instrument, manufactured in the 1990s, a few years after its introduction, is an iconic model of the series. It features the standard alder body, maple neck wood specifications, a 7'25" radius fingerboard with vintage-style fret wire, and other specifications that pursue vintage specifications as closely as possible to the original.

In terms of sound, it boasts a tone that fully showcases the original charm of the Stratocaster, with bright, clear highs, warm mids, and a moderately thick low end. The well-worn sound from years of playing resonates pleasantly.

There are some scratches and dents due to age and use, but There are no major paint chips or other noticeable damage, and considering its 36 years of age, the condition is excellent. The moderate scratches and patina give it a very aged look, showing signs of having been cherished and played.

Parts replacements include a 5-way pickup selector switch, and the absence of pickup covers and back panel. While there is some wear on the plain string side of the frets, there is still plenty of life left, the neck is straight, and the truss rod has plenty of adjustment range, so it can be used for many more years to come.
