Antique Portuguese Wooden Diptych Stations of the Cross Via Crucis 14 Medals

 

An authentic early 20th-century Portuguese religious travel diptych (folding wooden case) featuring the 14 Stations of the Cross (Via Crucis).

 

The wooden case opens up to reveal 14 finely detailed silver-toned metal relief medals, each depicting one of the traditional stations of Christ's Passion. The left panel features a central wooden crucifix with a metal Corpus Christi.

- Period: Early 20th Century (ca. 1910-1930)

- Material: Wood and metal medallions

- Content: Full set of 14 Stations of the Cross + central crucifix

- Condition: The medallions and wood are in good antique cosmetic condition with a beautiful natural patina. Please note: The hinges are broken/damaged, meaning the two panels are loose/detached from each other. Sold as-is for restoration or display.
