Vintage Korry Manufacturing Type 109 mechanically dimmable aircraft panel indicator with red lens. The lens is 3/4 inch in diameter and is marked BRIGHT and DIM. Rotating the lens operates an internal mechanical shutter which progressively reduces the visible illuminated area of the indicator.

I tested the indicator dimming mechanism and is fully functional. The first photo sequence shows the indicator operating from the BRIGHT position to the DIM position under normal room lighting, where the markings and shutter outline are easiest to see. The next photos show the aluminum indicator body, mounting hardware, markings, and overall construction. The final photo sequence again shows operation from BRIGHT to DIM in a dark room, making the change in illuminated area more apparent. 

Important note, when I first got this indicator (I don't remember what I took it from) many decades ago, I didn't see how to get to the lamp.  Well, the lens assembly just pulls out, see last photo.

Includes the indicator, mounting nut(s), and hardware shown in the photographs. Cosmetic condition is as pictured, with normal age, oxidation, and storage wear. This is a vintage component and is not a pristine example.
