Here’s a Vintage 1896 Masonic Knights Templar

Saratoga Convention Master Mason ‘Guest’

Maltese Cross Medal Souvenir

Saratoga Springs, New York, was a premier 19th-century destination for grand fraternal assemblies, conventions, and conclaves due to its large resort hotels and assembly halls. While the Knights Templar is an appendant Christian-oriented degree in the York Rite of Freemasonry (requiring members to be Master Masons first), conventions often welcomed accompanying Master Masons or visiting family members with specific "Guest" or delegate badges.

The prominent eight-pointed Maltese Cross design is the classic symbol of the Order of Malta and the historic chivalric traditions adopted by the Knights Templar.

A Fine piece of antique fraternal memorabilia.
