Handwritten account book, compiled between 1877 and 1882. I was not able to identify the compiler but it looks like they operated a small retail store, possibly food / cosmetics / drugggist. General merchandise
Some of the writing is in light pencil and hard to decipher, some is in ink that is easier to read.
There are 2 addresses written inside back cover that are legible - 29 W. 131st St and 219 W. 25th St.. There are other NYC addresses written in the book.
Lots of full names written in the book, could make an interesting research project.
