For sale is my 2010 MINI Cooper S R56 1.6 Turbo manual, finished in black with cream leather interior.
I've owned and maintained the car and it has recently been professionally detailed inside and out, including the engine bay. For its age and mileage it presents extremely well.
The car has covered 97,334 miles and starts, runs and drives. It has recently been serviced and MOT'd and comes with two keys and a substantial amount of service history, invoices and paperwork.
The bodywork is in very presentable condition for a 2010 car. There are age-related marks and some kerbing to the alloy wheels, which can be seen in the photographs. The cream leather interior also shows some age-related wear, particularly to the driver's seat, but overall the car has cleaned up extremely well.
I want to be completely transparent about the reason for the price.
The car has an intermittent fault which has been professionally investigated by a BMW/MINI specialist. Following extensive diagnostic work, the garage diagnosed a problem with the Junction Box Electronics (JBE) module.
The garage attempted to source the required replacement module through BMW but was unable to obtain the necessary part. I've therefore decided not to spend any more money investigating/repairing it and am selling the car as it stands.
The car currently starts, runs and drives, but because of the known intermittent fault I cannot guarantee when or how the problem may reoccur. It is therefore being sold with the fault fully disclosed and reflected in the asking price.
This could suit a MINI enthusiast, mechanic or someone with access to BMW/MINI electronics/module repair or refurbishment.
There has already been considerable expenditure on the vehicle, and paperwork/invoices for work carried out are available to the buyer.
I've now bought another car, so the MINI is no longer required.
£2,995 ONO.
I'm open to sensible offers after viewing. Please no unrealistic offers.
