Gibson J-160E John Lennon 2012 (no260913) Gibson J-160E John Lennon Model 2012s Limited Edition of 750 - 545/750th unit The Gibson J-160E John Lennon Model 2012s is a legendary instrument indispensable when discussing the Beatles' sound. The J-160E is one of Gibson's early electric-acoustic models, introduced in 1954, and gained worldwide popularity after being used by John Lennon and George Harrison from the beginning of their careers. It is also known for being used in numerous early Beatles recordings and live performances, including "Please Please Me," making it a coveted instrument for Beatles fans. This particular unit is the 2012s John Lennon Model. It faithfully reproduces the characteristics of a vintage J-160E, including a round-shoulder body with a sunburst finish, a top-mounted P-90 type pickup, and volume and tone controls. When amplified, this acoustic guitar produces a unique, warm, and resonant sound reminiscent of an electric guitar, and when strumming chords, it delivers a powerful tone that evokes the Beatles. Its natural resonance is also appealing, characterized by the warm mid-low frequencies unique to a mahogany body and a pleasant, well-balanced sound. It is versatile enough for everything from singing and playing to recording, allowing you to fully appreciate its unique character that sets it apart from typical acoustic guitars. The moderate playing of this 2012s model gives the sound a well-worn feel. The calm and rich resonance that new guitars lack is a charm unique to used instruments. There are some minor scratches and scuffs from use, but considering its age, it is in good condition and plays well. The neck condition is stable, and it is a guitar that you can enjoy for many years to come. [Condition] There is a repair mark on the top crack (from under the bridge on the 6th string side to the end of the body). The top is made of plywood with a ladder bracing structure, so the crack is only in the top surface material, and the bracing passes through the affected area, so there is no problem. The string height at the 12th fret is 2.5mm on the 6th string side and approximately 2mm on the 1st string side. The frets have about 80% remaining. 【Tone】 Due to the ladder bracing structure, it has a different sound impression than the X-bracing round shoulder. It is characterized by the unique sound of the J-160E when the pickup is turned on. The acoustic sound is also distinctive and addictive. 【Specifications】 Top: Sitka spruce Sides & back: Mahogany Fingerboard & bridge: Rosewood Nut width: Approximately 43.8mm Scale: Approximately 628mm Ladder bracing 【Accessories】 Original hardshell case included (scratches and dirt present) -+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-
