Authentic mid-20th century Army Map Service topographic map of Camp Edwards, Massachusetts. Printed at a 1:25,000 scale with 10-foot contour intervals, it details Cape Cod’s Camp Edwards military reservation, surrounding roads, ponds, and terrain. Produced under the direction of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, these maps were used for training, navigation, and defense planning during the 1940s. “Prepared under the direction of the Chief of Engineers, U.S. Army … field checked 1942, 1943, 1947 … printed 1948 by Army Map Service, Corps of Engineers.”

Several years ago, while attending an estate sale on Cape Cod, we came across these authentic maps as well as other similar in quantity. They immediately caught our attention with their intricate details and historical charm, making them a unique and fascinating find.
