The Dynam Supermarine Spitfire MK.VB Float Plane brings a unique and historically inspired twist to the classic WWII fighter. Based on the real Spitfire W3760, which was successfully converted into a floatplane for Pacific operations, this model fills a rare niche in the RC warbird market by combining iconic fighter performance with true seaplane capability.
Constructed from durable EPO foam, the airframe is both lightweight and resilient. A powerful Detrum brushless motor delivers strong thrust and reliable performance for extended flights.
To operate on water, the Spitfire MK.VB 1200mm replaces the retractable landing gear of the standard Dynam Spitfire with dual floats and steerable water rudders, allowing precise control during taxiing. Despite the float conversion, the aircraft retains the agility and responsiveness of a fighter, offering more maneuverability than typical civilian floatplanes.
This PNP version includes a Detrum BM3720‑650KV brushless outrunner motor paired with a TomCat Skylord 50A ESC. The 4‑blade propeller provides ample power, enabling average flight times of 7–10 minutes. Additional servos for the flaps and rudders enhance control and add to the overall flying enjoyment.
