I have sold several pieces from this set over the last few weeks. This is the last duo available.


This is a beautiful cabinet cup and saucer in cobalt blue and decorated with hand painted Watteau style senes of lovers in garden settings. Both pieces are beautifully hand gilded with intricate patterns. The saucer measures 13cm in diameter and is 3cm deep. The cup is 6cm diameter and 6cm tall. Both have the Royal Vienna shield in underglaze blue. This was used by Royal Vienna in the 18th and late 19th centuries and I believe that these pieces date to the second period ie c1880 although I am not certain. The mark was widely copied so I cannot guarantee that these are Vienna pieces but the gilding is certainly of the highest quality and the mark is under the glaze unlike many copies.


Both are in very good condition with no chips, cracks or restoration.  I can find no flaws.  Please study the photos carefully to satisfy yourself with the condition of the pieces.
