This is a very nice vintage Alfred Meakin oval platter in the brown Fair Winds pattern.  The platter is 12-1/2" long, 9-3/4" wide and 1-1/4" high.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, crazing or scratches.  The bottom is marked Fair Winds Original Copper Engravings depicting Historical Scenes of Chinese Export to America, U.S.S. Delaware capturing Le Croyable, Permanent Colors Dishwasher and Detergent Safe, Alfred Meakin, Staffordshire England.
