This is a stunning, highly collectible 4-piece lot of vintage Royal Doulton English series ware pottery. This set features the classic, brightly coloured, and wonderfully humorous "Hunting Man" fox hunting scenes, bordered with a rich hunter green trim.

Artwork & Design: 

Each piece captures a different theatrical element of a traditional English hunt, including riders in red coats ("redcoats") on horseback, hounds giving chase, and riders falling into hedges.


Set Breakdown & Dimensions:

2x Rectangular Twin-Handled Trays: 

Measure approximately 11 inches in length by 5 inches in width. Perfect as sandwich platters, vanity trays, or display dishes.

2x Square Plates: Measure approximately 5 ¾ inches square with beautiful scalloped/indented corners.

Authentic Base Markings: Each piece features the official stamped Royal Doulton lion crown emblem backstamp ("Made in England"), alongside the hand-painted pattern registration number D4720.


Condition:

The entire lot is presented in excellent vintage condition. There are no chips, cracks, structural breaks, or restoration work. There is light, beautiful surface crazing to the glaze on the reverse faces, which is entirely normal, expected, and highly typical for Royal Doulton earthenware bodies of this vintage era. The front illustrations remain incredibly vibrant, crisp, and glossy.
