To keep coffee warm for my dad, I only remember my mom using the Gevalia coffee carafe that she received for subscribing to their coffee for a few years. Maybe this Rotpunkt carafe was used before that? I estimate that this carafe dates to the late 70s up to the mid-80s. It's a vacuum thermos-style coffee pot with a glass insert. The orange dot on the lid is an indicator: loosen the lid so the orange dot is closest to the spout, and the carafe is open for pouring coffee. I didn't try it, but I estimate that this carafe would hold a bit less than a standard 12-cup pot of coffee. The whole carafe measures 9.25" to the top of the lid, and 4" outside diameter at the lid (5.5" diameter at the widest part). When I was trying to find out more about these Rotpunkt coffee pots, I found out that they should never be submerged in water for cleaning.
Condition: Carafe is in very good condition overall; no cracks; chrome surface only has a very few light scratches; a few light scratches on the handle from use or storage; lid has scratching in what I can only describe has someone trying to remove a very stubborn label and using something like a butter knife that scratched the rather soft plastic
I will ship USPS Ground Advantage or UPS, whichever is cheaper. Thanks for looking!
