Offered is a vintage STANLEY No. 12 12-Inch Try Square, made in the USA.
This traditional fixed 90-degree layout square features a heavy cast-iron stock/frame and a 12-inch steel blade. It is designed for checking and marking square lines on lumber, cabinetry, joinery, and general shop work. The blade is permanently mounted in the cast-iron stock, providing a rigid, dependable 90-degree reference—there are no movable or adjustable parts.
The blade is marked “STANLEY / MADE IN U.S.A.” and “No. 12 / 12 inch.” The cast-iron stock has the classic ribbed black finish and raised STANLEY logo with yellow paint detail.
A useful vintage American-made woodworking/layout tool with an appealing old-shop look. It would make a nice addition to a working tool collection, Stanley display, mechanic’s toolbox, or woodworking bench.
