MARCONI Transmitting Triode Type M.T.1.
Ca. 1920
Rated for approx. 100 W.
Developed by Captain Henry J. Round for Marconi.
Three MT1's were used in the wireless telephony transmitter built in 1919 at Ballybunion, Ireland, the first telephony station to be heard on the other side of the Atlantic.
Not only is it a collector's item because it's extremely rare, but it's also worth noting...
All my MT1 tubes have been tested and are in perfect working order, as well as new.
It's possible to design an audio amplifier with this tube.
