Originally released in 2003 “Real life” by Drive, She Said is a melodic metal / rock duo consisting of Mark Mangold (Touch) and Al Fritsch. The band is known for their stellar vocals, anthemic songs and exciting musicianship.

Mark Mangold is a renowned keyboardist and his creative partner in the band is Al Fritsch, the amazing singer / multi-instrumentalist whom he met in 1988. Their first album was released in 1989.

The duo joined up with drummer Jonathan Mover to record the album “Real Life” in 2003. However, Mangold always stated that he wanted the music to sound over the top and strived to achieve that sound. The album “Real Life” in its original form fell short of what the band wanted to achieve…. and Mangold felt that it needed redressing at some point.

According to Mangold “When we started it was important to carve out an original sound, and hopefully have a hit”, he also states that the album Real Life “Has the wall of vocals, and musicianship, and hopefully anthemic sometimes progressive, songs we enjoyed doing and I am ecstatic that we are now able to release it the way it was meant to be. I am also happy that Al’s (who died in October, 2017) legacy is preserved and the record is surrounded by Al’s Voice, playing and energy”.

A fitting tribute to Al, this 2018 recording is a must for all fans of Drive, She Said.
