VTG 1970s 3 Piece Polyester striped Ivory Wide Lapel Disco Leisure Suit. (38 Reg) Leisure Disco VLV 

Up for sale is this standout disco suit from the 70s. The material is off white / ivory striped polyester cloth. The cut of the jacket is American style with moderately padded shoulders, wide lapels, angled pockets, and a deep single vent. The vest has five buttons and two pockets. The pants have a flat front, wide belt loops,  and flared bottoms, which measure to a 10.25" bottom. 

The color is ivory or off white.

The shirt is for display only. 

Condition: Good / Very Good Vintage Condition.  A  light stain near the front button and a few light stains on the right sleeve.  A  very light stain, only visible on very close inspection on the right lapel.  One darker stain on the corner of the sleeve right by the buttons.  See photos.  These stains are minor and should not be visible during wear. The vest has a j-shaped flaw on the back which looks like a scratch in the satin. Otherwise, nicely preserved with only light use. Pants are stain free. From a smoke-free home.

Waist (across top /middle button): 19.5"

Sleeve (from shoulder edge seam to cuff): 24.5"         with a hem of 2.5"  

Shoulder (back seam to seam): 18"

Length (from bottom of back collar to hem): 31"

Vest

Chest: 19.5"

Waist 18.75"

Front Length: 24.75"

Back Length: 21

Pants:

Waist:  16.5  double is 33"   (with about 3" to let out)

Rise: 12"

Zipper: 7.5"

Length (inseam): 29.5" with a 3" hem

A note on grading: 

Mint: Perfect; like brand new

Excellent: Looks nearly perfect; no visible flaws; almost new condition

Very Good: Only a few minor flaws which are not visible or have no effect on the look of the garment

Good: Multiple minor flaws, but may not be very noticeable, the garment is still wearable, but may need minor repair

A few words on sizing:  Since many suits aren't marked, I go by measurements to determine size.  Also be aware that sometimes a suit is marked, but it doesn't match the measurements. If you aren't sure of your size or the size of your own well-fitting jacket, there are a lot of guides on the internet to help you measure yourself and your jackets.  I use "askandyaboutclothes" "how to measure a men's suit jacket" as the basis for my measurements. I’m not affiliated with this guide, it just is the most user-friendly. Please take a little time to check your measurements, before you invest in a suit.
