Vintage pair of Rectilinear Research X1a loudspeakers being sold as-is due to an issue with the upper drivers.

Both speakers produce sound from the woofers, but the top drivers/tweeters are not currently producing sound. I have not opened the speakers or attempted internal repairs, so the exact cause is unknown. They may need repair to the tweeters, crossover components, rear level controls, or internal wiring.

Cosmetic Condition:
The wood cabinets themselves are in good condition for their age with only minor scratches, scuffs, and normal vintage wear.

The grille covers are in fair to poor condition and have visible holes, tears, and wear. Please review the photos carefully for the exact cosmetic condition.

Because of the non-working upper drivers, these are being sold as-is for repair/restoration. They would be a good project for someone familiar with vintage speakers or crossover repair.
