This is a rare, vintage, Palawa, Tasmanian aboriginal, hand-made maireener shell necklace. The shells measure approximately 9mm or so in length and the necklace is approximately 44cm long. The shells are a soft peach colour with beautiful iridescent flashes of purple, green and gold.
The necklace closes with a simple hook and eye. It is in good, vintage condition.
