Item: US Army Vietnam Special Forces Style TSP Tiger Stripe Products Camo Combat Shirt

Size/Measurements: The shirt is a Size Small, and measures 22 1/2" from underarm to underarm across the chest, 18 1/4" from shoulder to shoulder across the back, 26 1/2" from the collar/body seam to the bottom of the hem down the back, and with a 23 1/2" sleeve from the shoulder to the end of the cuff.

Markings: "TIGER STRIPE PRODUCTS / MADE IN U.S.A." maker's label at the interior lower right front placket. A small "inked out" barcode label ironed on at the inside neck, next to "CRC / SM" hand marked in ballpoint pen. The "CRC" marking stands for Costume Rental Corporation, a prop house that provides military equipment to film studios in Southern California.

Condition: This shirt is in Very Good Condition. It has been purposely over-dyed a faded purplish brown color to give it a more aged appearance, likely for use as a movie prop. Classic dual exposed button flap closure boxed chest pockets, along with the small button first aid pocket at the left shoulder. Sports all of the flat rimmed OD plastic buttons throughout.

Historical Background: In the late 1980s, an innovative company in Colorado, Tiger Stripe Products (TSP), began producing high quality twill remakes of Vietnam "John Wayne Dense" tiger stripe camouflage. Tiger Stripe Products was sold to a major US government supplier in the late 1990s, making any early twill TSP tiger stripe camo piece scarce today.
