Excellent metallic green Lesney hovercraft with original 1975 Matchbox Superfast box
Vintage Matchbox Superfast No. 2 Rescue Hovercraft – Lesney England – Boxed
A very nice vintage Matchbox Superfast No. 2 Rescue Hovercraft, manufactured by Lesney Products in England and supplied with its original illustrated Matchbox box.
The model features a striking metallic green body, tan hovercraft skirt, chrome engine/detail components and the distinctive RESCUE rear decal.
The underside is marked:

The accompanying original box is the later No. 2 Rescue Hovercraft issue and carries © 1975 Lesney Products & Co Ltd – Made in England markings.
Condition:
The hovercraft presents very well for its age, with a bright metallic finish and excellent Rescue decal. There is some light age/use wear, including minor wear to the chrome-finished components. Please refer closely to the photographs for the exact cosmetic condition.
The original box is complete and presents well but shows genuine vintage storage and handling wear, particularly to the corners, edges and end flaps, together with some creasing/scuffing. The artwork and colours remain attractive.
An appealing boxed example of an unusual Matchbox Superfast model and a great addition to a vintage Matchbox or Lesney collection.
