An interesting early Hampden “Molly Stark” manual-wind, lever-set watch in an ornate wristwatch case, accompanied by a brown leather strap.

The movement is marked Canton, Ohio, with serial number 2,000,189. Its estimated production date is approximately 1904–1905; this dates the movement, and the wristwatch case may be later.

Features include a Hampden-signed dial, large black Arabic numerals, red five-minute markings, small seconds dial, and decorative engraving around the case.

CONDITION:

• Running at the time of listing. Long-term accuracy and service history have not been established.

• The dial, crystal, and case show age-related wear. Please examine the photographs for scratches, discoloration, and other details.

• Includes the brown leather strap shown.

This is a lever-set watch: setting the hands requires access to the small lever beneath the front bezel. It does not set by simply pulling out the crown. Careful handling is recommended.

A distinctive piece for a collector interested in early American watch movements and unusual wristwatches.
