Overview

Pilot Hira Maki-e fountain pen with a bamboo design rendered in gold on a black lacquer ground, fitted with a 14K gold medium (M) nib. The pen carries Pilot branding on the nib and body. Pilot's maki-e fountain pens are now marketed internationally under the Namiki name, so Pilot-marked examples of this bamboo pattern are no longer in production. Supplied with its case and one black ink cartridge.

Condition Details

Pre-owned. The previous owner describes the pen as unused and kept in long-term home storage, with fine surface scuffing over the lacquer resulting from that storage. No chips, cracks or losses to the maki-e decoration have been reported, and the nib, cap and barrel are intact.

The included black ink cartridge is old stock and has aged, so the ink may no longer be usable. The pen ships with its case; there is no outer box or other accessory.
