1934 Daily Record Commemorative Medal – RMS Queen Mary – Yard No. 534


A genuine vintage Daily Record commemorative medalet dating from 26th September 1934, produced to commemorate the launch of the famous RMS Queen Mary.


The medal features the conjoined portraits of King George V and Queen Mary on one side, with an image of the Queen Mary liner on the reverse.


The number 534 refers to the ship's yard number before she was officially named Queen Mary. The medal was produced by the Scottish Daily Record newspaper as a commemorative souvenir. (Royal Museums Greenwich)
