Recently purchased from estate sale. The Mortar is approximately 3” in height, 3 3/4” in diameter and weighs 13.5oz. The pestle is 6” in length and weighs 4.7oz. The mortar has French design of eight-petal rosettes and alternating human masks. This European-style cast brass/bronze apothecary mortar and pestle is a rare find from the pre-1930 era.
