Complete 14-Year Consecutive Run featuring historic "Iodine State" slogans.
Up for auction is a continuous, 14-year chronological run of original South Carolina license plates spanning from 1928 through 1941. Purchased individually, this set carries a market breakup value of $1000+
Several of these plates feature historical state taglines, notably the famous "The Iodine Products State" and "The Iodine State" slogans used during the early 1930s. This slogan was introduced to promote the high iodine levels found in South Carolina's locally grown fruits and vegetables, which helped combat thyroid goiters.
