This is a 5" x 25" theater-style auditorium mylar for the 1939 Universal Monsters classic Son of Frankenstein.
Directed by Rowland V. Lee, Son of Frankenstein is the third film in Universal's legendary Frankenstein series and stars Basil Rathbone as Baron Wolf von Frankenstein, the son of the infamous scientist. Returning to his family's ancestral estate, Wolf discovers that the Monster still lives under the care of the sinister Ygor, played by Bela Lugosi in one of his most memorable performances. Tempted to continue his father's experiments, Wolf soon unleashes terrifying consequences.
Featuring Boris Karloff's final portrayal of Frankenstein's Monster, along with unforgettable performances by Rathbone and Lugosi, Son of Frankenstein remains one of the crown jewels of Universal's classic horror library and a must-have for fans of vintage monster cinema.
These narrow mylar banners were traditionally displayed above theater auditorium entrances, making them a unique and less commonly seen form of cinema advertising.
