This is a 5" x 25" theater-style auditorium mylar for the James Bond classic Moonraker.
Originally released in 1979, Moonraker is the eleventh installment in the legendary James Bond franchise and Roger Moore's fourth outing as Agent 007. Directed by Lewis Gilbert, the film follows Bond as he investigates billionaire Hugo Drax's mysterious space shuttle program, uncovering an elaborate plot that takes him from Venice and Rio de Janeiro all the way into orbit in one of the series' most ambitious adventures.
Starring Roger Moore, Lois Chiles, Michael Lonsdale, Richard Kiel, Corinne Cléry, and Bernard Lee, Moonraker is remembered for its spectacular action sequences, exotic locations, incredible production design, and the unforgettable return of the steel-toothed assassin Jaws. The film also features John Barry's memorable score and Shirley Bassey's iconic title song, making it one of the most recognizable entries in the 007 series.
These narrow mylar banners were traditionally displayed above theater auditorium entrances, making them a unique and less commonly seen form of cinema advertising. They were produced in much smaller quantities than one-sheets, making them an increasingly desirable collectible for James Bond fans and movie memorabilia collectors alike.
This example is brand new and unused, carefully stored and handled with care, and remains in excellent condition.
