This is a 5" x 25" theater-style auditorium mylar for Magic (1978).

Directed by Richard Attenborough, Magic is a psychological horror thriller starring Anthony Hopkins, Ann-Margret, and Burgess Meredith. The film follows a struggling magician whose career begins to take a terrifying turn after his ventriloquist dummy appears to develop a mind and personality of its own.

Featuring the memorable tagline “A TERRIFYING LOVE STORY,” this striking mylar showcases the film's iconic ventriloquist dummy imagery against a dark, atmospheric background. It is a fantastic piece of theatrical advertising for one of the more unusual psychological horror films of the 1970s.

These narrow mylar banners were traditionally displayed above theater auditorium entrances, making them a unique and less commonly seen form of cinema advertising. Magic memorabilia is especially appealing to horror collectors and fans of classic genre films, while the presence of Anthony Hopkins makes this an even more desirable collectible.

This example is brand new and unused, carefully stored and handled with care, and remains in excellent condition.

The first photo shows the mylar displayed in a lightbox, where the artwork appears especially bold and vibrant. The second photo shows its normal appearance under standard lighting. Displays especially well when backlit.
