CONDITION DESCRIPTION:

In remarkably clean cosmetic condition for its age. The nickel-plated case retains a bright finish with light age-related surface scratches to the rear.

The dial is crisp and clean, glass is free of cracks, and the indicator needle moves smoothly.

Includes the original braided fabric leads and twin probe handles intact.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:

An excellent example of early French radio test equipment from the 1920s–1930s. Manufactured in Lyon by A.M.P.E.R., this pocket watch-style meter was built to check battery voltages on early wireless valve sets.

Dial Details: Marked "VOLTS" and "A.M.P.E.R. LYON". Features a red grid scale (0–6V DC) for low-tension filament batteries and a black outer scale (0–130V DC) for high-tension anode batteries.

Build & Hardware: Plated brass body with top pocket-watch ring, bottom contact pin, and connected twin-core woven fabric lead terminating in pointed probes.
