Up for auction is a 1988 Royal Australian Mint 8-Coin Proof Set housed in its original Royal Australian Mint presentation case with the original outer jacket (sleeve) and Certificate of Authenticity (COA).
Issued to commemorate Australia's Bicentenary, this proof set includes all eight Australian circulating denominations issued in 1988, including the first-year $2 coin and the commemorative $1 and 50-cent Bicentennial coins. The coins are struck to proof quality with frosted designs and mirror-like fields and are displayed in the original sealed holder within the tan presentation case.
Pre-owned and in very good overall condition. The proof coins remain housed in the original holder. The presentation case, outer jacket, and Certificate of Authenticity are included and show light wear consistent with age and storage.
