Antique / Victorian Masonic Gilt Wood Picture / Mirror Frame c.1880

This is an unusual 19th century Masonic giltwood frame, of architectural form with fluted Corinthian columns, dentilled cornice and a central square and compasses emblem.

The frame is constructed in wood with applied gilt composition/plaster ornament, retaining an attractive aged surface and showing the expected wear associated with age. The original single sawn sheet of Mahogany or Teak backing board is included.

A decorative and scarce piece of antique Masonic material, suitable for use as a picture or mirror frame.

CONDITION the underside of the lower edge has been regilded & there are some spots of regilding but the vast majority is original & intact, overall it presents extermely well - as per images
