Vintage Canada Payphone Corporation (CPC) $20 Payphone Card from the Premier Edition Collector Series, featuring the telecommunications-themed design:
“The Future is Calling”
A great collectible from the early prepaid chip-card/payphone era in Canada.
The front features the CPC logo, electronic chip, telephone keypad imagery, a profile silhouette and planet Earth artwork.
The reverse contains bilingual English and French instructions explaining how the card was used with CPC payphones and states that it was valid for local calls on CPC payphones.
The reverse is marked:
“1 of 4500”
This makes it an interesting piece for collectors of Canadian telephone cards and vintage telecommunications memorabilia.
Vintage collectible card currently stored inside a clear protective plastic sleeve/wrapping.
The card appears to be in good collectible condition based on what is visible through the packaging. The outer plastic may show scratches, wrinkles, tape, storage wear or other age-related marks.
The remaining $20 telephone balance and electronic chip functionality have not been tested or verified.
This item is being sold primarily as a collectible, not as a guaranteed functioning prepaid telephone card.
