The coin of the international ecological series is dedicated to the hedgehog whose picture is thereon

On the obverse the Small National Emblem of Ukraine is located in the necklace circle, above it – the year of coinage -- 2006; between the necklace circle and the coin edging there are inscriptions: above - НАЦІОНАЛЬНИЙ БАНК УКРАЇНИ (The National Bank of Ukraine), below - 2 ГРИВНІ (two hryvnias), to the left - kind of the metal and its fineness: Au 999.9, its weight in fineness -- 1.24; to the right - the logotype of the National Bank of Ukraine Mint.

On the reverse the hedgehog is depicted and there are the inscriptions: above - ЇЖАК (hedgehog) and below - ERINACEUS
