Pre-War Dinky Toys No. 30a Chrysler Airflow Saloon (1935–1940)
Original pre-war Dinky Toys 30a Chrysler Airflow Saloon in heavy diecast metal.
Streamlined 1930s teardrop body with cast rear wheel spats and waterfall grille.
COSMETIC CONDITION REPORT
Paintwork & Finish: Overpainted in grey over original green paintwork; green is visible around the wheel arches, lower edges, and underside.
Front Detail & Trim: Grille, headlights, and front trim repainted/highlighted in silver paint. Hand-painted red rear light details and rear number plate ("RP 205").
Bodywork & Casting: Minor paint chipping and surface wear throughout consistent with age and play; casting remains complete without visible cracks.
Base & Underside: Clean interior casting showing clear original green finish and "MECCANO DINKY TOYS MADE IN ENGLAND" casting details. Minor surface dirt around axles.
Wheels & Axles: Fitted with smooth black tyres showing light age wear; original metal axles present with minor surface tarnishing/rusting.
Chassis & Wheels: Open-casing underside stamped Meccano Dinky Toys Made in England.
Fitted with original steel axles and black rubber tyres, one front tyre has a flat spot.
A great candidate for chemical stripping back to original green, a custom restoration, or as a pre-war display piece.
