Gorgeous tangerine orange art glass bowl picked up in a charity shop because it's so pretty. It catches the light beautifully and it's really chunky and heavy - it feels nice to hold. - It's a real sensory pleasure!

I think it's Whitefriars by Geoffrey Baxter from the 60s.

Kitchen Scales say it's about 920g or just over 2lb - see photo. It's about 12.5cm diameter depending on where the nobbles are when you put the ruler on it - see photo. About 5.4cm high.

It has definitely been used as there are some light scratches in the base from someone's keys or something. Thdy could be polished out I'm sure. There are one or two very shallow nibbles in the rim as you can see in the photos and video. Maybe they could be ground out. I have just noticed what might be a chip off the side. There is a photo of it, but it might just be part of the nobbly-ness!!

It's still beautiful in the light though. A great entry-level piece of glass for collectors and a genuine bit of British design history.
