This dual-interface Y-splitter retains a green Type 2 J1939 9-pin connection while adding an OBD2-style 16-pin female port for compatible equipment.

The connected 16-pin scanner, ELD, GPS or fleet device must support the vehicle’s J1939 communication system. This cable does not convert J1939 into standard passenger-vehicle OBD2 communication.
