Item Description

Ibanez AZ2204 Ice Blue Metallic (no260824)

The Ibanez AZ2204 Ice Blue Metallic is a Prestige model from the AZ series, designed to accommodate a wide range of playing styles. It features an alder body combined with an S-TECH WOOD roasted maple neck and fingerboard, based on a traditional bolt-on construction while incorporating features suited to modern playing environments.

This model features a 25.5-inch scale, 42mm nut width, and 22 jumbo stainless steel frets. It also boasts a Gotoh T1802 tremolo bridge and MAGNUM LOCK machine heads, and uses Seymour Duncan Hyperion pickups in an SSH configuration. A key feature is the dyna-MIX switching with an Alter Switch, allowing for pickup selection.

When connected to an amplifier, it easily captures picking nuances, producing a clear attack and well-defined string separation. In clean tones, it easily distinguishes chord tones, and even with gain added, it maintains definition while producing a rich, harmonic resonance. It offers excellent dynamic response, handling a wide range of styles from delicate phrases to powerful leads.

The appeal of this model lies in its pursuit of modern playability while possessing the flexibility to be used across genres. It's suitable not only for those who want to control the sound with just one instrument, but also for those who prioritize ease of use during performance and attention to detail in their selection.
