Schneider-Kreuznach Samyang AF 60-180mm F2.8 Lens for Sony E

The AF 60-180mm F2.8 FE features an ultra lightweight design of approximately 730g, making it one of the lightest lenses in its class. Compared to conventional 70 to 200mm F2.8 lenses that typically exceed 1kg, it significantly reduces the overall load on the user. This lighter build minimizes fatigue during extended shooting sessions, especially in travel, wedding, and documentary environments. It also enhances mobility, allowing creators to move more freely and stay focused on capturing the moment.
This reflects the core philosophy of the LK SAMYANG Compact Zoom Series, capturing more while carrying less.

The 60 to 180mm focal range is designed around the most practical telephoto coverage for portraits, events, and action. Instead of extending into rarely used focal lengths, it focuses on the range that matters most in real shooting situations. At 60mm, it allows for natural and balanced framing, while 180mm delivers strong subject compression for more impactful results. This versatile range enables smooth transitions across different shooting distances without the need to change lenses.
A telephoto zoom designed with real world efficiency and usability in mind.

A constant F2.8 aperture ensures consistent exposure and visual expression across all focal lengths. It enables reliable performance in low light, helping maintain faster shutter speeds when it matters most. The wide aperture also creates smooth and natural background separation, enhancing subject emphasis. Brightness remains stable throughout the zoom range, allowing seamless framing without exposure shifts. Ideal for both photography and video, it delivers fluid, consistent results in real world shooting.

With a maximum magnification of 0.26x and a minimum focusing distance of 0.35m, this lens delivers close up performance that is uncommon for a telephoto zoom. It allows you to capture fine details without getting too close, maintaining a natural working distance from the subject. The compression and smooth background separation characteristic of telephoto lenses further enhance subject isolation, even in close up shots. From food and products to fine textures and portrait details, it expands creative possibilities while maintaining a seamless shooting flow.

 High Strength Lightweight Material
A newly developed in house material enhances both durability and overall build quality. It provides a solid yet lightweight structure for reliable use in various shooting conditions. The refined finish adds a premium touch to the overall design.

 Intuitive Focus Control
The AF MF switch and smooth focus ring allow quick and precise control. Users can easily switch focus modes and make fine adjustments with accuracy. This intuitive operation helps maintain a seamless shooting experience.

 Effortless Firmware Updates
The built in USB port enables easy firmware updates without additional accessories. Users can quickly access the latest performance improvements. This ensures the lens stays up to date with evolving shooting needs.
