Large antique solid copper hand-hammered, hand-worked tray with attractive, well defined rope-edge detail to the gallery.
I believe the tray to be by Hugh Wallis, Altrincham. Although it is not marked as such, it is pictured on pages 61 and 66 of Margaret Thompson's book 'Hugh Wallis - Artist and Art Metal Worker'.
Condition: In beautiful antique order. It sits firmly balanced and all aspects are sound and secure. No dings, dents or bends. It has been cleaned and lightly polished to the top and gallery and is ready to use.
