Antique solid copper hand-beaten tray with attractive, well defined rope-edge detail to the gallery.
I believe the tray to be by Hugh Wallis, Altrincham. Although it is not marked as such, it is pictured in Margaret Thompson's book 'Hugh Wallis Artist and Art Metal Worker', on pages 61 and 66.
Condition: In beautiful antique order. No dings or dents. Minimal very light scratches to the bed. It has been cleaned and lightly polished to the top. Some traces of old metal cleaner visible between the rope edge detail of the gallery.
