Vintage Hamilton Hayden wristwatch, dating to approximately the late 1940s.

This classic rectangular Art Deco-style Hamilton features a 14K gold-filled case, attractive original-style numeral dial, distinctive framed subsidiary seconds register at 6 o’clock, and a black leather strap.

The watch is fitted with a Hamilton 17-jewel Grade 980 mechanical movement and is currently running. It winds and sets normally. It has not been recently serviced or tested for long-term accuracy, so it is being sold as a vintage mechanical watch with no guarantee of exact timekeeping.

The Hamilton Hayden is more commonly documented with the 19-jewel Grade 982 movement. This example contains a 17-jewel Grade 980, and it is being described exactly as found rather than represented as an all-original movement/case combination.
