A vintage wood bassoon manufactured by the prestigious V. Kohlert's Sons workshop in Kraslice (formerly Graslitz). Kohlert instruments are historically significant examples of Bohemian woodwind craftsmanship, known for their warm tonal characteristics and robust construction. This instrument features a flamed maple body and a full set of nickel-plated keywork.

• Hand-crafted wood body with visible flame grain and original dark finish
• Nickel-plated keys and fittings in standard Heckel system configuration
• Includes vintage hard-shell carrying case with protective plush lining

Condition: Offered for parts or repair. The instrument exhibits significant structural damage, specifically a heavily chipped and broken wooden tenon on the long joint as shown in detail photos. The wooden body shows extensive finish wear, scratches, and lacquer loss throughout. Keywork exhibits oxidation, and all pads and corks are aged and will require a professional overhaul. Bocal and reeds are not included. The case shows exterior wear but remains structurally intact with functional latches.
