Description

Vintage Eberle Alpacca bombilla yerba mate drinking straw, measuring approximately 9 inches long.

This traditional South American mate straw features a perforated spoon-shaped filter at the bottom designed to strain yerba mate leaves while drinking. It has an attractive ornate raised/embossed design around the center and decorative detailing near the filter.

Clearly marked:

ALPACCA

EBERLE

Alpacca (also spelled alpaca) is a nickel-silver alloy and should not be confused with sterling silver.

Vintage pre-owned condition with surface scratches, tarnish/patina, finish wear and some areas of green oxidation around the perforated filter, as shown in the close-up photos. It has not been heavily polished or restored.

A nice older Eberle bombilla for a yerba mate collection, South American kitchenware collection, or vintage barware/display collection.

Approximate length: 9"
