Offered for bid is a rare huge original German 1904, 'Eisenbahn-Übersichtskarte von Deutschland' (Railway Overview Map of Germany). This is a huge fold out table top paper map These maps were typically tucked into the back of the official German timetable (Reichs-Kursbuch) issued by the Imperial Post Office. These historical folding maps showed all train lines, stations, and railway networks across the German Empire (Deutsches Reich) and in neighboring border countries. The map is in very good preserved condition considering its age. There are fold storage lines with some paper foxing, chipping and splitting along edges and the folds; but it is solid and not brittle. Really a beautiful pre-WW1 paper railroad collectible; not too be missed!
